Taylor Swift

So Amber tells me the other day " Mom I love Taylor Swift, you know the girl that sings about Juliet. I still like Hannah Montana but I Love Taylor Swift!" Yes she is only 4!!! What 4 year old even knows who that is????!!!??? Amber does of course she does! This all started cause for Christmas Tiffany got a karaoke machine and it has the Taylor Swift songs on it and Amber loves singing, well she hadn't even ever heard the songs but we were all singing them and she just sat there listening and trying to sing them. Well she came home and this is when the above conversation happened, and she asked if we could get her songs cause she loves them. So we got on the computer and downloaded them now it is all she wants to listen to! In the car, while she is doing her job, while she is playing Taylor Swift! That is right she is always playing that she is Taylor Swift! She is always saying Masen call me Taylor Swift cause that is my new name. Or she will be playing with her little toy phone and answer it saying " Hello this is Taylor Swift calling" all girly like! I am so sick of hearing Taylor Swift songs I could PUKE! Me and Nic will mimic her answering her phone and she gets so mad! It is so funny though cause she will announce to me now " I am playing a game mom, I am not really Taylor Swift I am just pretending" Well thanks for clearing that up cause I was getting really worried their for a minute!! I love my Amber she is such a girl and such a drama queen but that just makes her Amber!

Playing in the Snow!

We went outside to play in the snow! The kids loved it. Masen is always begging to go outside and build a snow man. We were not able to during this snow storm cause the snow was not good packing snow but they still had fun making snow angels and just playing in it and not being stuck inside the house!

Christmas

We had a Great Christmas this year full of lots of family parties and lots and lots of family time! Nic's little sister came home from her mission on the 23rd of Dec. so that was a great Christmas present to have here back! Amber was really funny and for about 2 weeks was counting down the days til she got home. Her and Kim have a good relationship, Kim lived with us for a while and her and Amber got really close. It was funny cause Nic's other little sister Hether is down at Snow college and she came home for Christmas break and I came up stairs and said " Amber guess who is home?" She got all excited and said "Kim ?" I giggled and said no Heather and she was still excited it was just funny to see the expression on her face when she thought it was finally Kim!  Well besides Kim coming home we of couarse had Santa come to our house and I must say we all got pretty spoiled by him! I Love waking up Christmas morning and seeing the expression on the kids faces it is the best feeling ever. We are trying to start some traditons on our own so on Christmas Eve we all opened a present from me and Nic. PJ's of course!  Then we got the kids all dressed in theirs and we went for a drive to look at all the Christmas lights. The kids thought that was fun. Amber got a "Fur Real Pet" it is a baby Panda bear and she is so funny with it she carries it around like her little baby and is so cute with it. She also got a doll house with little people a movie, a baby doll, a barbie doll and so much more. Masen got a Pirate ship with little guys, a car track, lots of cars, a big dump truck and lots more I can't think of. Jaxen got a ball popper, a Animal Train, a Farm, and lots more stuff that is just not coming to mind right now! My kids are not quiet old enough to do the whole wake up at 5,6 and 7 in the morning which I am not complaining about but I am such a little kid and so excited for the to wake up I didn't sleep at all I woke up at 5 , 6, and 7 and finally woke them up at 8 cause I couldn't wait anylonger :). 

This year we also decided even though we didn't have much to give we would still take some tags off of the giving tree in our ward. We sat down with all the kids but Amber listened the most and explained why and what they were. It was so nice to beable to give at Christmas time and know that we were helping other people that needed it more than us! I am so Thankful for the Christmas season and all the wonderful things that happen at this time of the year and all the wonderful things that did happen so long ago.

Amber had a little program she did in preschool it was so cute! I love seeing how much she is growing up. She would walk around the house for a month singing all the songs they were preparing to sing for the program. She also came home on the last day of school before Christmas break with a ginger Bread house aka gram cracker house and a cute little bracelet she got in the gift exchange. 

October 2009

So now we are on to Oct. we are just going to skip over Sept. cause I can't really remember anything fun and amazing that we did. I think that was the month that we were all sick for the whole month so I just blocked it out. We did geet sick in Oct. to with the dreaded Swine Flu but we all are still alive and I didn't even really get it which is a miracle in it self since I was the one taking care of all the sickies. Joaxen got it the worst which was to expect since he is still so little but he is still alive too and we are all healthy right now! ( Knock on Wood) We did go to Pirate Island Pizza for Jenni's birthday but of course I forgot my camera so no pictures from that, but it was really fun and the kids loved it and the Pizza was really good. Nic actually designed the signs so it was fun to go to a place that he did the signs for. Oct was also Conference! I love confrence and learned so much and had alot of my prayers answered through it this session. I am so grateful for our prophet and he amazing counslors. I am excited to re read their talks in the ensign a million times :) Oct. also bring HALLOWEEN!!!

This year was so much fun because Amber and MAsen know what it means to go Trick or Treating! It was cute to see Masen want to get to the door first so he could ding dong the door bell and be the first one to say Trick or Treat. Amber was Tinker bell , Masen was Swiper the Fox ( of course what else would he want to be ! ) , and Jaxen was the cutest Skunk you could ever see.

Catch up!

This is going to be the longest thing I have written for a long time. I finally have my camera that my husband likes to steal for work so I could download pictures. So here we go....
In August before school started for Amber we went to the Children's Museum at Discovery Gate way. The kids had so much fun there and didn't want to leave. The day we went they had a little learning thing going on up stairs where you could do little activities and they did have a baby Kangaroo there but by the time we got there it had gone home cause it was tired. Amber was disappointed but she got over that fast and enjoyed the rest of the day.

A couple weeks later me and Jenni decided to meet up at Cabela's to let the kids run around and see the " Dead Animals" As Amber called them and had to yell through the entire store and the parking lot and she had to emphasis the Dead part too. IT was very embarrassing to say the least. The kids had fun especially when we went and saw all the big fish. I think they liked that part the best out of it all and shooting the targets that kept squirting them. Dakota didn't like very much of it though but he did do really good through all of it we didn't have any huge melt downs, so that is saying a lot with 4 little ones :)

Amber started Preschool this year and she LOVES it! She asks every day if she can go. Her preschool is called Bee Ready and it is out of a Ladies house. She is great they learn sign language and Spanish along with everything else. Amber is getting so much better with writing her name and I love to see the improvement she is making every week. Amber is our little princess and loves being a big sister to her brothers but she really wants a baby sister. She is so funny the things she comes up with sometime... I don't know where she get stuff from. My cousin just had a baby a couple weeks ago and it was a girl, I told Amber that they had her and she was so upset and looked at me and Nic and at the top of her lungs and in a very worried but stern voice said " Did they take the last baby girl in heaven???" I was laughing so hard and in between laughter I said " No I think there are still some baby girls in heaven" she then looked at me and put her hand on her head and like she was wiping sweat off her fore head said " Phew." She is so funny, she says her prayers every night and the first thing she says is please bless that I can have a baby sister. So hopefully one day we will be able to give her a baby sister.These are pictures I took before she went to her first day of school!

Masen Loves Swiper the Fox from Dora and when I say Loves I mean he is obsessed with him. We decided at least he likes the boy character on Dora and not Dora. His dad can deal with that. But we are not sure if it is a good thing he love the character that swipes everything. He thinks it is such a fun game to swipe stuff from everyone. Well we decided we would find him a swiper toy but since he is not a popular character we found one on Amazon. I wish I would have gotten it on video the day we got it and and I opened it! I though he was going to pass out he was so excited he had a swiper the fox. This toy has come very handy though we are working on the potty training and if he had a accident Swiper would go to time out til he went potty again on the potty. He did not like the idea of Swiper on time out and really didn't like that he couldn't play with him. Swiper goes everywhere with us and was so dirty 2 days after he got him cause he never put him down. So we are doing really good on the peeing on the potty but for some reason the kid is terrified to poop on the potty. He will sit there for ever and I will try to talk him in to it and he refuses so I will finally give up and put a diaper on him and he will go instantly so we are working on that. So if anyone has any advice we will take it.

Jaxen is getting bigger and bigger and it makes me sad. It goes by so fast and I can't believe he is already 6 months old. He is sitting up on his own now and scoots backwards he hasn't figured out the going forwards yet but I think he will soon. He is such a happy baby and is always smiling. My mother in-law brings him to Sunday school and Relief Society on Sundays so I can go into the nursery and she is always saying how all the old men that sit behind her love to play with him cause he just smiles and laughs at them she says most of the time she feels like she has to tell them to be quite like a little kid I think it is funny. But I am the same way there is just something about a babies laugh and smile that makes you just keep on going back for more:) He loves food and eats all the time. I am still nursing him but mostly at night cause he is always hungry so I can't keep up with him. He is getting so chubby and has the cutest rolls on his legs. And he is trying to cut his 2 bottom teeth so he has been kind of grumpy lately.

Well it is way past bed time for tonight so hopefully I can keep updating tomorrow with Halloween and a couple other little things we did so check back tomorrow for cute Halloween Pictures :)

Jaxen's Blessing!

We blessed Jaxen on Aug. 16. It was a great blessing given by his daddy Nic and he had all of his Grandpa's and uncles in the circle that could stand in. We had the blassing in the morning at 9:00 in sacrament meeting and then had everyone come over after to grandma Christensen's and had a little breakfast refereshments. We got a bunch of muffins and bagles with cream cheese then some fruit and juice and Milk to drink. It turned out really nice. My mom always gets thir blessing outfits for them. The one she got for Jaxen me and Jenni found down in Ephrium at the Co op when we were down there for Scandinavian days. We told my mom about it and her and Jenni rode down there to see if they could still find it. They got down there and they didn't have anymore but the company that makes them was out of Manti so they kept driving and found one last one at the place! I was so happy they found it. It is a little shorts and shirt with a vest out fit it is crocheted. It is white but has just a little bit of light blue thread wound in to it. Thanks Mom for finding the perfect outfit for him!

Amber's 4th Birthday

My little Amber turned 4 on July 24th!! I can't beleive I have a 4 year old! We love Amber so much! She is such a girl and so dramatic about everything. She loves to sing and play house. Pink is her favorite color and she already loves to shop but only when she gets something, she dosen't care what it is but she always wants something a shirt, pants, hair accsesories, anything! She is so funny she loves to pse for the camera you get it out and tell her to say cheese and she has to make sure she is doing a different pose before you can take the picture. She love to tell people she has a baby sister " Rainbow" in her mommies tummy but she isn't coming out yet. She just wants a little sister so bad or just another girl in the family we don't know which one. I think the whole primary thinks I am expecting again cause she alwas has to include her baby sister rainbow in any picture or thing they do about familys. We have know idea why she says rainbow it use to be sparkles. Another cute story about Amber is when Jaxen was in teh hospital after he was born she would ask me if I saw her fairy friend in there with Jaxen and I would ask her who it was and she said it was her fairy friend sparkles and she was with Jaxen and was putting her fairy magic on him to make him better so he can come home. She is the best big sister she does love to tease and get a reaction out of Masen but she loves them and is always wlooking out for both of them. For her birthday we were in Cedar city with my moms brother Scotts family for a baby blessing so a couple days before we left we had a little party here at our house with Nic's family and our friends. She had lots of fun, she got a slip and slide so we got that out and they all had tons of fun playing on it! Then while we were in Cedar City we had some cake and icecream for her at Scotts house and she got to open presents from everyone down there. It was so cute my cousin from Las Vegas was there and they have 2 little boys, they got her a Tinker Bell house. SHe came to show it to me an dshe said " Look mom those handsome boys gave this to me" hahahaha it was so funny. Happy Birthday Baby Girl! We Love you
