Plane Ride, Swimming, and Fun in the Sand Box!

For the 4th of July we went down to Manti and camped in the RV park in Manti. It was lots of fun, we went swimming played cards and walked up to the temple one night so Amber could see where Me and Nic got married! We even rolled down the hill for a while with them. The kids thought that was great. On the 4th we went into town the the Activities in the park and Todd and Connie flew a plane down so Todd took all of us on a plane ride. Amber and Masen though that was the best thing ever. I wasn't to sure about it at first but we got up in the air and it wasn't so bad I only go sick when I looked down at the kids and back up again :)

We have also been having lots of fun int the sand box out back this summer! And even made Amber a Mermaid. Masen didn't want the sand all over him so he wasn't a Merman.

ONe more little side note since Jaxen wasn't in any of these pictures. Here are some pictures of him playing with his favorite toy horse, the Easter bunny brought him while he was still in my tummy. He love it, it is fun to watch him grab it and eat it. He had his 2 moth appointment and weighed in at 13 LBS and was 24 inches tall. He is growing so much and it amkes me sad how fast it goes by. By the way he was with us in Manti he just didn't go on the plane. ( Todd said we better leave him on the ground so if we did crash one of our kids would still be around :) ) and

He was to little to get in the pool since the water was like Ice cold.

Happy Birthday Masen!!

Masen turned 2 years old on June 30th (today). He had such a great day and got lots of fun stuff from everyone! (thanks again). We had a little party at the park by our house and just had water guns for all the kids to playwith and I think they all enjoyed that. Jenni made him a "Pop-Pop Truck" cake. Thanks Jen you did an amazing Job! He thought it was the best thing about the party. He saw it on the table and just wanted to play with the trucks on the cake and make them dig up the cake. Masen is such a fun little boy and we are so glad he is in our family we love him so much and he is such a boy. He loves anything that has to do with construction. We say he got his Grandpa Christensens genes in him for sure. Nic's dad has dump trucks and Masen calls them all Pop- Pop trucks. HE always wants to be helping grandpa with the trucks when he is out back fixing them. He thinks it is the best thing ever when Pop-Pop lets him sit in it while he is working on them, he loves when he gets to go on rides too and I don't hink he ever stops smiling when he gets to go around the block on a ride to turn the truck around. Driving down the rode all you can hear is him finding all the Pop-Pop trucks in all the construction parts. HE si such a dady's boy and when Nic gets home he wants nothing to do with me and everything to do with his dad. We love him and can't beleive he is already 2.

Lehi Rodeo

We went to the rodeo this year and it was so much fun! Nic designed a bunch of the banners for the sponsors and all or the lehi round-up banners for the arena so IG signs go some tickets for the rodeo, and Nic was one of the lucky ones to get some of the tickets. Amber and Masen loved it. Amber loves horses so she thought it was the bestthing ever. We had 2 extra tickets so Jenni,Jake and Dakota came with us. It was so much fun I haven't been to the rodeo since I was pregnant with Amber and I didn't make it through all of that one cause I was so huge and pregnant it was to uncomfortable to sit on the benches for to long. Jaxen was so good through it. One of the receptionist from Alpin Pediatrics was sitting in front of us with her mom and they ended up taking him half way through and held him through the whole thing. It was nice to just have to worry about the other 2 kids. The middle show was some motorcycle guys doing tricks on the motorcycles so Dakota was in heaven being as obsessed as he is with them and Masen was in heaven cause they had a loader bringing out the jump for the motorcyle. So both boys were happy until those were gone then Dakota had a melt down cause he wanted the motorcyles to come back, he didn't care about the bulls or anything else anymore. Amber loved ait and is still talking about the bucking horses adn bulls and how she doesn't want to ride one of those ones but wants to ride a horse.

Happy Fathers Day!

I just wanted to tell Nic how much I love him and what a great dad he is to our 3 kids! He is so good to play with them when he gets home from work, even when he is so tired. They love him so much he gets home and they will do anything and everything to get his attention. Jenni witnessed this the other day. Nic got home and the kids were all over him well he ended up running to the stor to get some steak to make us for dinner! And Amber decided she was going to make a muddy mess out on our porch. She painted the windows and everything with it. Nic got back and she just got worse ( she was trying to get some attention) Jenni was amazed she just kept saying she was good all day. Yep this is what it is like everyday! Good girl all day and Dad gets home and she needs attention even if it is him putting her on time out atleast she is getting attention I guess. That is how much they love their dad. I am so glad they had such a great dad and I have a amazing husband! Love you Nic

I just wanted to give a shout out to mine and Nic's Dads too. HAPPY FATHERS DAY! KURT and CLARK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We love you and are thakful you are our dads and great Pop- pops

Memorial Day weekend

For Memorial Day weekend we had a very busy but fun time. On Sat we went down to Ephriam for scandinavian days with Jenni, Jake and Dakota. Of coaurse I forgot to take pictures while we were down there. We had lots of fun down there walking through the booths and going to the candy store! Thanks Jake and Jen for the fun day. Then on Memorial Day we were going to go up to Cascade Springs but the Alpine Loop was close on the provo side cause they were paving the road so we decided to go to Bridal Veil Falls. It was lots of fun and the kids loved seeing the waterfalls so close up. The water was freezing but fun to walk through for a minute. We then went to the park for a picnic. We had lots of fun we love when we get to spend time with our families. So thanks Todd and Connie for a fun day up the canyon.

Birth Story!

Okay so here is how Jaxen's birth went. Well I had to go in for testing on my liver twice the week before he was born because my swelling was unbeleivebly bad and my blood pressure was high fo r2 weeks and not getting better. Well all the test came back negative but we still decided to make my induction date for Monday the 27th I was releived cause it ment there was an end insight for the hardest pregnancy I have had. Not that it was so horrable I was just sick of all the sicknesses and pain and everyhting else if it wasn't one thing it was another. Well on the 21st at my Doctors appointment the doctor decided to strip my membranes (which is the worst feeling in the world by the way) since I was a 2 and 40% just to try and get things going for Monday. Well on the 22nd I was having pretty painful contractions but they were coming like ever half hour to hour so I knew i wasn't in labor. That night I decided to take some tylenol since it makes me sleepy just to try and sleep better, I slept so good that night and didn't have one contraction that woke me up atleast. At 6:00 in the morning it hit and it hit hard ( my contractions never start out gradually they just hit hard) so I got out of bed and started getting the kids clothes ready for the day cause I knew I would be going to the hospital. At 6:30 Nic's alarm went off for work and he got out of bed and saw me standing there and said "why are you dressed" i then preceed to tell him I am having lots of contractions since 6, so he timed them and they were coming every 3 min. at that point so we headed out to the hospital. I get to the hospital and tell them everything that is going on and that I have super fast deliveries and I really really want an epidurial this time. So they take me to my delivery room an dput me on all the moniters and checked me and I was a 3 and 50%. So she goes out to call my Doctor and comes back in to tell me that he is on his way to come check me in an hour to see if I have progressed enough to keep me since I was not 39 weeks yet. Well by that time I am about ready to kill someone because of the pain and I tell my nurse I was having alot of pressure and she needed to check me again, she looked at me like ok but I just checked you 10 minutes ago. So she checks me and I was a 5 and almosed completely effaced so she knew that I was not going any where and started getting be ready for the epidural. She gets my IV in adn the anistesioligest gets there and starts my epi. He gets it in and tells me he had to take it out an ddo it again cause it went into a blood vessel, so he does a new one and I am in heven. Nic didn't know what to do with himself beacuse usually he dosent have time to do anything because the baby is coming and coming now. My doctor then gets there and pops my water and I was still at a 5 so we waited 20 minutes and checked me again and I still hadn't changes so they started some potocin and 5 minutes later I was ready to push. I pushed about 10 times and Jaxen was born at 9:57 in the morning so about 4 hours of labor and an epi this time it was a great birth. Oh I forgot when they popped my water it was green so he had had a bowl movement. but when he was born the resperitory team came and checked him and he was fine they thought. After 4 hours of sitting in my delevery room since I was one of 9 births that morning I finally got into my other room. The hospital was so busy they ran out of rooms and had to start putting ladies on the 3rd floor. I had Jaxen in my room for the fist night and the next morning they took him to the special care nursery because he was breathing really fast. They did a bunch of tests and a 72 hour culture and an x ray and found out he did swallow the meconium so he had to stay in the special care til the 72 hour culture came back. I got released from the hospital on the 24th and they gave me a room that I could stay in so I could go in and nurse him through the night. after staying one night in that room i decided to come home to get some good sleep. That was the hardest thing I have ever ahd to do, I cried all night and got up at 6 to go back to the hospital to be with him. On Monday the 27th they released Jaxen and said he passed all his test and he was good to go home. I am so glad to have him home with us and so are the kids.
